This memorial website was created in the memory of my mother, Ethel Neal who was born on May 14, 1928 and passed away on March 14, 2011. We will remember her forever. She was a kind and gentle soul whose focus was always on her family. Mom loved piano music and also enjoyed playing piano and organ herself. She was devoted to her husband of nearly 50 years and yet when he passed, she picked herself right up and created a new life. I never knew she had an interest in painting, let alone blossom into this creative and beautiful painter. Mom and Dad had an interesting life together, including raising turkeys on large ranch in LaGrange. Although it was difficult for Mom to give up her dream home in Fremont, she knew Dad wanted and needed to get out of the city and into the country. She became so fond of the area that when they retired, they purchased their home in Coulterville. She followed Dad throughout his career as a pilot, which took them to several different states and homes. She just knew how to make those homes special for her family. From her wonderful home cooked meals, to her exemplary housekeeping, to her creative sewing skills, to her sense of humor, it was a joy and an honor to be her daughter. We will all love and miss her forever.
